Mizzou football gets set for No. 21 Tennessee

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou football team has its first road matchup of the season on Saturday against No. 21 Tennessee.

We spoke with MU football coach Eli Drinkwitz on Tuesday. You can watch the full news conference in the video player below.

Drinkwitz said there were no positive COVID-19 tests on Sunday. As always, MU will continue to test throughout the week.

Drinkwitz added linebacker Aubrey Miller Jr. has opted out of the season.

In injury news - defensive back Jarvis Ware is day-to-day with a knee injury.

Mizzou will continue to play both Shawn Robinson and Connor Bazelak at quarterback, according to Drinkwitz.

MU is 0-1 on the season after its loss to Alabama in Week 1. Tennessee started its season off with a win over South Carolina. The Tigers and Volunteers will kickoff at 11 a.m. on Saturday from Knoxville, Tenn.
