Kansas City’s Alex Gordon retires from baseball

KANSAS CITY, Mo (KMIZ)

One of the longest-tenured players in Royals history announced his retirement from baseball on Thursday.

The organization honored the outfielder, but did not indicate if he would play in the club's four remaining games of the 2020 season.

Gordon played for Kansas City for 14 years, collecting seven golden gloves, three all-star recognitions, and a World Series win.
