SportsZone Football Friday game of the week preview: Staley vs. Rock Bridge

After months of uncertainty, the first week of high school football is here. Our SportsZone Football Friday game of the week for week one is the matchup between the Staley Falcons and the Rock Bridge Bruins.

The Bruins come in to the year with a 3-7 record in the 2019-2020 season. The beginning of last year's season brought a daunting schedule to Rock Bridge, starting with four-straight losses, two of which came against some of the best teams in the state.
This season, the Bruins' first few games are nothing to look past either, beginning with the Falcons.
Staley is a perennial championship contender, coming off a 10-win season and a district title in 2019.
Friday night will be the first real game action that the Bruins have seen since November when they lost in the Blue Springs in the playoffs.
A lot has changed since the last time Rock Bridge or just about any team has taken the field, including limited attendance, masks, and more safety measures on hand.
