Jefferson City hires new football coach

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City hired a new football coach on Tuesday. Scott Bailey will replace Terry Walker as the head coach of the Jays. Walker resigned last week.

Bailey comes to the capital city from Lamar High School. He was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 2018.

Bailey won seven straight state championships during his time with the Tigers. He will also teach strength and conditioning at Jeff City High School.
