Mizzou forward Tray Jackson to transfer
COLUMBIA, Mo. - A spokesperson for the Mizzou basketball team confirmed that forward Tray Jackson will transfer away from the program.
The Detroit native played his freshman year for the Tigers and played in 29 games. Jackson came off the bench and averaged 8.1 minutes per game. In that time, Jackson 2.9 points per game and 1.8 rebounds per game.
Prior to coming to Mizzou, Jackson was ESPN's 56th rated recruit in the entire country for 2019. Jackson was the prize of Cuonzo Martin's recruiting class.
The Jackson departure leaves a thin frontcourt for the Tigers. Mizzou lost Reed Nikko to graduation, and now the Tigers return Jeremiah Tilmon, Parker Braun, Axel Okongo and Mitchell Smith. Mizzou also adds 7'2" Center Jordan Wilmore as part of its 2020 class.
The team now has two available scholarships for 2020.
