Mizzou completes comeback to snap losing streak

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Despite trailing by double digits much of the game, the Mizzou basketball team came back to defeat the Georgia Bulldogs, 72-69.

The win snaps a four-game losing streak and improves Mizzou's record to 10-10 (2-5 SEC).

Xavier Pinson corralled an offensive rebound and scored inside to give the Tigers a two-point lead with less than one minute to go in the game. Then, Reed Nikko came up with a timely block on Georgia star freshman Reed Nikko to seal the game for the Tigers.

Nikko had a career-high 13 points to go with five rebounds and two blocks. Mitchell Smith scored 12 points, and Dru Smith had 16 points.

The Tigers next head on the road to face South Carolina on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
