Kansas City Chiefs advance to the Super Bowl

KANSAS CITY - For the first time in 50 years, the Kansas City Chiefs are heading to the Super Bowl.

The Chiefs defeated the Tennessee Titans, 35-24, to win the AFC Championship.

The Chiefs, again, had to make a comeback to win in the postseason. The Titans took a 10-0 lead and a 17-7 lead in the first half, but the Chiefs stormed back to take the lead, 21-17, late in the first half.

Patrick Mahomes went 23-35 passing for 294 yards and had four total touchdowns.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is still in search of his first Super Bowl title. The last time he was in the Super bowl was with the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2003-04 season when New England defeated the Eagles.

The Chiefs now await the winner of Green Bay and San Francisco in the NFC Championship game to find out their opponent for the Super Bowl.
