Mizzou women’s basketball falls on the road to No. 20 Missouri State

Despite a strong performance against a top-25 team on the road, the Mizzou women's basketball team lost to (20) Missouri State, 79-72.

With the loss, the Tigers fall to 3-8 on the season and have lost two straight games.

Amber Smith led the Tigers with 22 points on the night and added seven rebounds. The reigning SEC Freshman of the week, Aijha Blackwell, continued her strong run with 16 points against the Bears.

However, 17 turnovers for the Tigers and four Missouri State players scoring in double figures were too much to overcome.

Mizzou next returns home to face Princeton on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
