Arkansas hires Barry Odom

Former Mizzou football coach Barry Odom will be the next defensive coordinator for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

New Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman spoke on the Paul Finebaum Show on SEC Network and said he hired Odom to be his defensive coordinator.

Mizzou fired Odom following his last win over Mizzou, which was against Arkansas. Odom was 25-25 overall and 13-19 in the SEC in his four seasons as head coach. He took the Tigers to two bowl games - he was eligible for three.

Odom spent 18 seasons at Mizzou as a player, assistant and head coach. This season - Odom went 6-6 overall and 3-5 in the SEC.

The Tigers will get to face Odom and the Razorbacks in 2020 for the Battle Line Rivalry.
