Mizzou tight end declares for NFL Draft

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou tight end Albert Okwuegbunam has declared for the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Redshirt Junior will forego his senior season to pursue a professional football career.

Okwuegbunam caught 98 passes for 1,187 yards and 23 touchdowns in his time at Mizzou. This past year - Albert O had 26 receptions for 306 yards and six touchdowns.

Okwuegbunam's best season came in 2017. The Springfield, Ill. native caught a freshman record 11 touchdowns in 13 games.

Albert O joins MU defensive lineman Jordan Elliott, who also announced he would forego his senior season.
