Mizzou women’s basketball snaps losing streak with win over SIUE

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou women's basketball team ended its four-game losing streak with a 68-51 win over SIUE.

The victory improves Mizzou's record to 2-4 on the season.

Before the game, Mizzou honored Amber Smith for scoring her 1,000th point in a Tiger uniform. Smith followed up that recognition with a team-high 15 points on the night. Smith also added seven rebounds and three blocks.

The Tigers shot 47.8 percent from the field as Nadia Green and Hayley Frank each scored in double figures. Green's 10 points are a career high.

Mizzou returns to action for the Cancun Challange starting Nov. 28 against New Mexico.
