Mizzou women’s hoops loses second straight home game

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou women's basketball team lost to Northern Iowa, 78-73, on Wednesday night. The Tigers are now 1-2 on the season.

Amber Smith had a team-high 19 points and seven rebounds. Freshman Hayley Frank had a career-high 17 points, but it was not enough to beat the Panthers.

The Tigers turned it over 16 times. Meanwhile, Northern Iowa hit 15 three-pointers.

Up next - Mizzou will play at Green Bay on Saturday at 1 p.m.
