Three people are in custody after a brief chase Monday morning. State troopers said they responded to north Columbia just after midnight where they began to chase a vehicle. Nearly 2,000 people were without power Sunday night in southeast Columbia. According to the Columbia Water and Light outage map, the power went out at 9:03 p.m. and affected as many as 1,922 customers. The power was restored in about 90 minutes. At least three people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries Sunday evening after a crash just north of Columbia. The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Mauller Road and Highway VV. Boone County deputies said one car rear ended another. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
