COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Multiple counties around Mid-Missouri had elections on Tuesday.

Miller County had a pair of propositions on its ballot and Pettis County asked votes if the fire district should expand its boundaries. View the full area results -- by county -- updated throughout the night below:

MILLER COUNTY

Both propositions on the ballot in Eldon easily passed. Proposition A -- which asked to impose a use tax for public safety in Eldon – passed 157 votes to 72.

Proposition B, which asked voters if a 3% sales tax should be imposed on marijuana sales in Eldon, passed 199 votes to 30. Similar propositions in other counties have passed since recreational marijuana sales became legal in Missouri.

PETTIS COUNTY

Pettis County voters confidently approved the Pettis County Fire Protection District No. 1 to extend its boundaries to include all property under the Smithton Rural Fire Association. The measure passed 126 votes to 5, with 15% voter turnout.

In the city of Lamonte, a sales tax on titling vehicles, trailers, boats and outboard motors purchased out of state passed 15 votes to 13. That election had a 5% voter turnout.

OSAGE COUNTY

Osage County voters in its ambulance district voted to include a portion of Osage County not in the district, 39-9. Voters outside of the district also had to approve the measure, which they did 27-9.

CHARITON COUNTY

Chariton County voters decided on if Public Water Supply District No. 2 should dissolve and sell its assets to the Missouri-American Water Company. The measure needed two-thirds of the vote to pass, and it failed as only 58.89% of voters (169 votes) were in favor.

AUDRAIN COUNTY

Voters approved to merge Public Water Districts 1 and 2 in a 79-43 vote.
