Hamra announces gubernatorial bid as Democrat

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mike Hamra announced a bid for the 2024 Missouri governor in a Thursday press release.
Hamra is from Springfield, Missouri, and states he is the CEO of Hamra Enterprises. The release states the business has more than 200 locations. He describes himself in the release as a business leader who has raised money for children’s charities. He is married with four children.
The primary will be held Aug. 6, 2024. Missouri House Minority Leader Crystal Quade (D-Springfield) announced her gubernatorial bid in July. Active Democratic campaign committees with the Missouri Ethics Commission include Sheryl Gladney and the Rev. Eric Morrison.
On the Republican side of the ballot, Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft and Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe and state Sen. Bill Eigel (St. Charles) and Christopher Wright, of Joplin, have all announced they are running for governor.
