Rowden to join lobbying group upon leaving office
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Outgoing Missouri Senate President Pro Tem Caleb Rowden (R-Columbia) will become the director of strategic advocacy at Strategic Capitol Consulting, the lobbying group announced in a Wednesday press release.
Rowden was not able to seek reelection for his current position because of term limits and opted to not run for another political office.
Wednesday’s press release says that Rowden will join SCC when he leaves office early next year. He will “lead SCC’s efforts in marketing, digital media, strategic planning, and external advocacy—bringing a fresh, innovative approach to lobbying,” the release says.
"I am thrilled to join the team at Strategic Capitol Consulting, one of Missouri’s leading firms in lobbying and advocacy,” Rowden said in the release. “Joining SCC provides a tremendous opportunity to continue advocating for sound public policy on behalf of individuals and businesses across Missouri, allowing me to further my service to this great state."
Rowden was first elected to the Missouri Senate in 2016.
