QUESTION OF THE DAY: Are lawmakers spending too much time on transgender issues?

A Missouri House committee on Thursday moved two bills along to the full chamber.

One would stop gender-affirming treatment for minors and the other would require high school athletes to compete according to their sex at birth.

Several other similar bills are also under consideration in each chamber.
