President Donald Trump hosted the country's tech leaders at the White House on Tuesday for a summit focused on artificial intelligence.

Talk of whether and how government should regulate the development of new AI models has gained traction amid warnings that the technology could eventually harm humanity. At the summit, Trump and tech CEOs seemed to focus largely on the idea of industry self-regulation.
