President Donald Trump's "Liberation Day" is almost here.

Trump says a slew of tariffs will begin Tuesday against friend and foe alike. The president promises his new economic policy will usher in a golden age of American manufacturing and business.

But plenty of people remain skeptical about tariffs, predicting they'll drive up prices on a variety of consumer goods.

Trump has also wavered in the past on promises of tariffs, backing off against some he had pledged against Canada and Mexico before deciding on those set to start this week.
