QUESTION OF THE DAY: Will the Senate avoid a government shutdown?
It's now up to the Senate to avoid a government shutdown after the House passed a budget bill Tuesday.
Just one Republican went against the party for a final vote of 217-213 in the House on a measure to fund the government through September. The plan is backed by President Donald Trump as a way to buy time to create a budget that reflects his agenda.
Now the bill goes to the Senate, where it needs 60 votes to pass. Republicans enjoy a 53-47 margin on party-line votes in the upper chamber.
Do you think the Senate will approve the bill before Friday and avoid a government shutdown? Let us know by voting in the poll.
