QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should protesters be arrested and deported?
Immigration authorities arrested a Palestinian activist tied to protests at Columbia University over the weekend.
However, a judge has blocked the federal government from deporting Mahmoud Khalil before a conference can be held Wednesday.
Khalil helped organize the massive, disruptive campus protests against the war in Gaza.
Khalil's detention came after threats by President Donald Trump to have foreign leaders of student protest movements against the war in Gaza arrested and deported.
Khalil holds a green card.
