Washington made history again Tuesday when a sitting House speaker was voted out of his office for the first time in the nation's history.

Kevin McCarthy is no longer the most powerful man in the House after the narrow vote to oust him. But if Missouri's Republican House members had their way, McCarthy would still be at the top -- they all voted against his ouster.
