Former president Donald Trump made his anticipated announcement Tuesday that he will run for office in 2024.

However, many on the left and on the right say Trump should have waited until after next month's runoff election for a Senate seat in Georgia. Trump called elections rigged after his 2020 loss, which might have helped Democrats win Senate seats in the state that year.
