Senate Democrats have won a key vote from Joe Manchin on the Inflation Reduction Act.
Several steps remain before the bill can pass but winning over the moderate Manchin was one hurdle to clear. The bill includes proposals meant to lower the cost of prescription drugs, but the drug lobby has fought hard against any price-lowering proposals.
