Democrats are hoping the Jan. 6 committee hearings will help convince voters to turn away from Republicans in the midterm elections.

The latest hearing happened Tuesday, with testimony from Cassidy Hutchinson, who worked for former President Donald Trump's chief of staff Mark Meadows. Hutchinson's testimony included allegations that Trump wanted armed supporters to be allowed to attend the rally that preceded the Capitol riot.
