The leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion that indicates the court could strike down Roe v. Wade has shaken the political world.

The 1973 Roe ruling guarantees the right to abortion. If it is struck down, several states have laws that will immediately outlaw abortion, which could lead to more unplanned pregnancies carried to term. That has prompted calls to expand programs to support children, and some conservatives have floated the idea.
