QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should preschool be free of cost to families?

President Joe Biden has proposed having the federal government pay for two years of preschool for each child in his new American Families Plan.

Republicans in Congress are stepping up to oppose the measure. They say the $1.8 trillion plan is too expensive especially coming after other massive pandemic-related spending. The GOP also opposes the tax increases on corporations that would fund the plan, saying such hikes would kill jobs.
