EF-1 tornado confirmed in Tipton

TIPTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-1 tornado hit Tipton late Saturday night.

According to National Weather Service St. Louis, the tornado hit around 11 p.m Saturday along Alexander Road. No deaths or injuries are reported.

The tornado only last about a minute, according to the National Weather Service. In that time, it damaged trees and small buildings.

An EF-1 tornado has wind gusts between 86 and 110 miles per hour.
