Weather Alert Day in Full Swing

TODAY: Snow changes to freezing rain by late morning, lasting into the afternoon. A tenth to a quarter inch of ice accumulation is possible. Freezing rain changes to rain by mid-evening as temperatures rise above freezing.

TONIGHT: Rain continues into early tomorrow morning. Lows in the mid 30s.

EXTENDED: Windy conditions will persist after the rain exits mid-Missouri. Temperatures drop from the 30s on Saturday morning into the 20s by the evening. Sunday will be bitterly cold with wind chills in the single digits to below zero. The start of next week remains bitterly cold.
