Mulitple-vehicle crash closes Kansas City highway

The Missouri State Highway Patrol announced that a state highway in Kansas City closed Sunday due to a multi-vehicle crash.

Troopers said on Twitter Sunday that I-29 is closed near I-635 in Northmoor. The area is on the border of Clay & Platte Counties.

CAUTION!!

I-29 near I-635 in Northmoor on the Clay & Platte border is CLOSED due to multiple tractor-trailer vehicles jackknifed.

Avoid this area and find an alternate route.

Missouri was hit Sunday with a winter storm that could bring more snowfall on Monday. The ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather team said areas of Mid-Missouri will see snow or a wintry mix from the system.
