Two construction projects to start in Cole County on Monday

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two road projects are expected to start on Monday in Cole County.

According to a press release from the Cole County Public Works, construction crews will be closing Friendship Road from Dogwood Trail to Ashbury Way. Signs will be placed when the road is closed.

The project is expected to take several months with a completion date in May.

MoDOT's bridge replacement program, BRO, has the existing culvert on Friendship Road in poor condition.

Also on Monday, Adams Street at the McCarty Street entrance for stormwater repairs, according to a Jefferson City Public Works Department release.

Work will start at 7 a.m. on Jan. 29th and last through Feb. 2nd. Drivers are asked to find different routes while work is taking place.

According to the release, road closure and detour signs will also be posted.
