Columbia man dies from UTV crash Saturday

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving two people from Columbia and one from St. Charles that ended in the death of a 55-year-old.

Saturday morning, Richard L. Bryant of Columbia died from a UTV crash in Callaway County, according to the crash report.

The other two people involved both sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to University Hospital. Bryant was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to the Callaway/Boone County Medical Examiners Office.

The UTV was being driven by Donald J. Lay; Bryant and Bethany A. Johnson were passengers. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
