COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Drivers saw delays on Highway 63 south of Stadium Boulevard in Columbia after a Tuesday morning crash.

According to a Tweet posted by Boone County Joint Communications around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, officials were responding to a crash in the southbound lanes.

BCJC asked drivers to use caution and avoid the area if possible.

ABC 17 News crews at the scene said at least one vehicle involved in the crash was towed from the scene shortly before 9 a.m. It appeared that several Columbia police officers were investigating the crash off of the Stadium entrance ramp onto southbound Highway 63.

Traffic was moving slowly after the crash as police remained on the highway.
