COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A portion of the eastbound driving lane of Interstate 70 will be closed early Wednesday for emergency pavement repairs, according to a Tuesday press release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The release says the lane closures, which will occur just west of St. Charles Road, will take place from 4 a.m.-noon.

A closure was announced near the same area on eastbound I-70 on Nov. 17.

The release says those traveling in Columbia on eastbound I-70 should consider alternate routes.
