COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A portion of both lanes of East Ash Street in Columbia and a sidewalk will close for two weeks, the city announced in a Friday press release.

The release says that contractors will be installing a new sewer connection near 1221 East Ash St. Both lanes and the sidewalk will be closed between North College Avenue and St. Joseph Street from 8 a.m. Tuesday through 3:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, the release says.

Barricades will be in place to direct pedestrians to cross East Ash Street and use the sidewalk on its south side, which will remain open, according to the release. Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes.
