Ramp closures planned on Highway 63 in Columbia this week

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Ramps along Highway 63 in and around Columbia will close this week for a resurfacing project, according to a Monday press release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Closures began Monday at Prathersville Road and Oakland Gravel Road, the release says. Closures for the rest of the week will occur 7:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday.

Planned closures for Tuesday (the release says the closures will not occur at the same time, but they are listed in order from when they will occur, except where noted):

• On-ramp from Route B to northbound Highway 63.
• Off-ramp from northbound Highway 63 to Oakland Gravel Road.
• On-ramp from Oakland Gravel Road to northbound Highway 63.
• Off-ramp from northbound Highway 63 to Prathersville Road.
• On-ramp from Prathersville Road to northbound Highway 63.

Planned closures for Wednesday:

• Oakland Gravel Road overpass over Highway 63.
• On- and off-ramps for northbound Highway 63 at Oakland Gravel Road (these will occur at the same time, the release says).
• Prathersville Road overpass over Highway 63 will close when the work at Oakland Gravel Road overpass is complete.
• On- and off-ramp for northbound Highway 63 at Prathersville Road (these will occur at the same time, the release says)..

Planned closures for Thursday:

• Oakland Gravel Road overpass over Highway 63.
• On- and off-ramps for southbound Highway 63 at Oakland Gravel Road (these will occur at the same time, the release says).
• Prathersville Road overpass over southbound Highway.
• On- and off-ramps for Highway 63 at Prathersville Road (these will occur at the same time, the release says).
