Road work on Wehmeyer Drive at Highway 94 in Jefferson City rescheduled to next week

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Road work that was set to begin Wednesday on Wehmeyer Drive at Highway 94 in Jefferson City has been rescheduled to Monday, according to a Tuesday press release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Wehmeyer Drive is being realigned with the entrance into Hitachi Energy, according to the press release. The road will be closed for five days, according to the release.

A left-turn lane is being added to westbound Highway 94 to improve traffic safety and mitigate traffic back-ups during peak hours, the release says.

The construction is part of the Highway 54 Improvement Projects in Jefferson City, the release says.
