Intersection near Jefferson City High School to be closed next week for roadwork

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Jefferson City Department of Public Works announced in a Friday press release that an intersection near Jefferson City High School will be closed next week for street repairs.

The intersection of Adams and Union streets will be closed 8 a.m. Monday and is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4.

The release states that it will be a full closure of the intersection and that road closure and detour signs will be posted. Motorists are are urged to take caution and find alternate routes, the release states.

The intersection is about a block away from Thorpe Gordon STEM Academy, the Nichols Career Center and Jefferson City High School, as well as Capital Region Medical Center.
