East Walnut Street to close Monday between North William Street and Old Highway 63 North

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The City of Columbia announced in a Friday press release that East Walnut Street will close at 7 a.m. Monday between North William Street and Old Highway 63 North for road work.

It is expected to reopen 7 a.m. Monday, April 24.

During construction, motorists intending to turn from North William Street or Old Highway 63 North onto East Walnut Street will be detoured to East Broadway, according to the release. Road closure signs will be present.

This road closure is part of the continuing East Walnut Street resurfacing project which will take place through July. Intermittent lane restrictions and closures will continue to be required along East Walnut Street between College Avenue and Old Highway 63 North throughout the remainder of the project.
