HANNIBAL, Mo. (KMIZ)

On Wednesday from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., weather permitting, the Missouri Department of Transportation’s contractor again will close a lane in each direction on Interstate 70 at mile marker 180 to continue work on the overpass that was hit by a tractor-trailer on June 23.

The lanes on I-70 are restricted to 10 feet wide. All ramps at Route F/High Hill interchange are open, but the overpass/bridge remains closed to traffic.

Due to the volume of traffic on I-70, drivers are encouraged to consider alternate routes during the morning hours when one lane is closed.

Route F will reopen after the new column/concrete has time to strengthen, probably within 5 days.
