MoDOT to have overnight lane closures next week during I-70 Rocheport Bridge replacement project

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) says contractors will be closing one lane of westbound Interstate 70 overnights next week near the Rocheport Bridge in order to install concrete barriers in the median.

Officials say the closures will take place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. beginning Monday through Friday.

MoDOT says the barrier being installed will replace the guard cable in the median, providing more safety for motorists and workers in that area as work progresses on the new bridges.

In a release, MoDOT says crews will begin more work along the median and roadway and will require nightly lane closures in the upcoming weeks.
