MoDOT completes new Highway 54 Lake of the Ozarks interchange

LAKE OZARK, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri Department of Transportation has completed improvements to the Highway 54 Lake of the Ozarks interchange after 18 months’ worth of work.

“The completion of this work is a milestone moment for safe travel through the Lake of the Ozarks Region,” said Central Area Engineer Robert Lynch. “With the completion of the new interchange, traffic is able to flow more freely and safely through that area. We’re excited to reach completion on this landmark project.”

Officials say no crews will be present over the holiday weekend and any remaining work will result in minimal impacts.

Crews designed the new interchange to improve traffic safety and traffic flow in areas where numerous traffic wrecks had occurred.
