MGN Online

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A MoDOT contractor will now do a pavement repair project impact evening and overnight traffic along Interstate 70 in Callaway County starting Monday.

Officials say repairs on eastbound I-70 lanes in Callaway County will go on Monday through Wednesday. Work will begin near the Route DD intersection. Once work is finished at that location, crews plan to address eastbound lanes near the town of Williamsburg.

Work will require individual lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Signs will guide motorists through work zones. Drivers are advised to use extra caution through work zones, watch for workers on the road, obey all traffic signs and avoid any distractions.

The improvements are part of an effort to improve the driving surface of I-70 in Cooper, Boone and Callaway Counties. This work will complete the final phase of the project.
