MoDOT to begin Maries County Bridge rehabilitation next week

MARIES COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri Department of Transportation will begin repairs for the Route N bridge over Rogers Creek in Maries County that will close the bridge next week.

The 53-year-old bridge, located east of Brinktown, has reached a state where rehabilitation is necessary.

Beginning on Monday, crews will begin replacing the bridge’s deck and girders. Route N at the bridge will be closed to traffic for up to three months while the work takes place.

Motorists will need find alternate routes while the bridge rehabilitation takes place.

The bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
