MoDOT: Callaway County Bridge Project to close I-70 lanes during evening hours next week
CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A contractor working for the Missouri Department of Transportation will close individual lanes of Interstate 70 on the evenings of September 28 through September 30 for the new Route D bridge construction.
Overnight I-70 travelers could experience lane closures as crews continue to install guardrail and remove temporary concrete barriers in the median and shoulders of the interstate.
Message boards will be in place alerting motorists of the lane closures. Drivers are asked to slow down, watch for crews and put away distractions in work zones.
The Route D bridge replacement is scheduled to be completed this fall.
The project is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
