COOPER COUNTY, Mo.

Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation are scheduled to replace a bridge in Cooper County next week.

On Monday, crews will close Route 179 at the Petite Saline Creek Bridge, south of Woolridge in order to replace the bridge.

The closure is expected to last up to five months, according to a news release.

The project was originally planned to happen last year, but was delayed because of Missouri River flooding, officials said.

MoDOT said the bridge was built in 1966 and is at a point where it needs to be replaced.

According to MoDOT's website, the project is expected to cost about $2,097,000.
