Auxvasse man seriously hurt in Callaway County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 22-year-old Auxvasse man was seriously hurt during a crash in Callaway County just before 8 p.m. Wednesday.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the man was riding a 1997 Suzuki Marauder 800 motorcycle east on Route E near Country Road 271 when he hit a deer.

The crash caused the motorcycle to go off the road and overturn.

The man was taken to University Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.

The motorcycle had extensive damage. The report states the man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
