COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 17-year-old boy from Fortuna was airlifted to University Hospital on Thursday morning after a three-vehicle crash occurred in Morgan County on Highway 52 at Route T, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The report says the crash occurred as a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 – driven by a 32-year-old Stover man – was stopped on westbound Highway 52 and was waiting to make a left turn.

A 2017 Nissan Altima – driven by the teen – was stopped behind the Chevy and was also waiting to make a left turn, the report says. A 2020 Ram 4500 – driven by an 18-year-old Versailles man – was heading westbound bound, did not stop and rear-ended the Nissan, which in turn hit the Chevy, the report says.

Everyone involved in the crash wore seatbelts and there were no additional injuries reported.

MSHP reports do not name those involved in crashes.
