Four people seriously hurt in Chariton County crash Thursday night

CHARITON COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Four people were seriously hurt after a crash in Chariton County just before 9 p.m. Thursday, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The report states that a 20-year-old man from Brookfield was driving a 2014 Ford Mustang on Hwy 11 with three passengers: an 18-year-old woman from Brunswick, a 22-year-old man from Brookfield and a 25-year-old Brookfield man.

The group was heading southbound, just two miles north of Rothville, when the car went off the right side of the road and flipped.

Everyone in the car suffered serious injuries from the crash.

Troopers said the woman and 20-year-old driver were taken to separate hospitals in Chariton County while the 22-year-old and 25-year-old men were flown to University Hospital for treatment.

The report states that none of the people in the car were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The car was totaled, according to the report.
