Man killed in Macon County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 52-year-old Anabel, Missouri, man was killed in a crash on Friday, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

According to the report, a 52-year-old man was driving a 2011 Kia Forte northbound from Route V over Highway 36. The report says the driver failed to yield to a 2024 Ram 1500 that was heading eastbound.

The 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders, the report says. He was brought to Greening Eagan Hayes Funeral Home in Macon, the report says.

The other driver – a 49-year-old man from Atlanta, Missouri – had minor injuries and was brought to Samaritan Hospital by ambulance, the report says. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. Both vehicles were totaled.
